Founded in 1966 by John Bowers, B&W are one of the "big three" British loudspeaker manufacturers. Their speaker and headphone designs are known for their typically "British" sound signature and their distinctive yellow kevlar speaker cones.
B&W speaker designs are also known for their separated tweeter positioning, their "Matrix" speaker enclosure as well as for their iconic Nautilus loudspeaker range. But B&W don't just make great speakers, they also manufacture computer & iPod speakers, high end headphones and have recently expanded into in-car audio systems, partnering with Maserati for their supercar designs. Famous models from B&W include the P1, the DM6, the 800 speaker range and the Zeppelin iPod speaker system and the P5 series headphones.
