Martin Logan loudspeakers are one of the cornerstones of electrostatic and planar magnetic speaker design. Formed in 1979 in Lawrence, Kansas, USA, the speakers created by Gayle Martin Sanders and Ron Logan Sutherland have carefully iterated their designs in a quest for sonic perfection, at one point even using aerospace materials and eventually receiving a CES Design and Engineering award. Since then they have incorporated the know-how of engineers who worked on the space shuttle and the Teflon pans in your kitchen cupboard as they sought to create the most aurally authentic electrostatic speaker designs possible.
Over the years MartinLogan have achieved a wide range of industry firsts with speaker models such as the Monolith, the Statement e2, the Design series and the ESL series all garnering critical acclaim. MartinLogan's electrostatic designs are a truly unique offering in an industry of all too similar designs.
